The scientific committee welcomes the submission of poster abstracts for presentation at the Talent Discovery: Poster Competition during the Oral Reconstruction International Symposium, Bangkok, Thailand from November 14 to 16, 2024.

In order to standardize the abstract layout, we kindly ask you to read the guidelines carefully.

Guidelines for preparation of poster abstracts

  1. Abstracts must be submitted in English. Please use US English spelling.
  2. The author of an accepted abstract must register and attend the congress. The presenting author of accepted abstracts will receive certificates and free registration for the event.
  3. Abstracts should contain only original material not published elsewhere prior to 16 November 2024.
  4. Provide a short specific title indicating the nature of the investigation. The background and goals of the study should appear clearly to the reader.
  5. Please structure your abstract according to the sections provided in the online form with a maximum of 1 table and 2 graphics may be included.
  6. The title may not exceed 250 characters including spaces. The abstract text may not be longer than 2,500 characters (ca. 300 words) including spaces, excluding disclosures. Please download the abstract template here.
  7. All abbreviations must be defined the first time they appear in your text (but do not define in the title).
  8. Disclosure of potential conflict of interest (e.g. grant support, consultancy, membership on advisory councils, speaker’s bureau) by presenting author and source of funding are mandatory. (All disclosures should be listed if relevant to the abstract content and all others within the last year.)
  9. Please make sure to state your correct e-mail address. After having submitted your abstract, you will receive confirmation by e-mail with the following information: abstract reference number, abstract title, authorship. If you do not receive a confirmation by e-mail, please contact: education@orfoundation.org.

Corrections to abstracts can only be made up to the deadline of 31 August 2024, 23.59h CET.

Notification

Each abstract will be reviewed by the Poster Review Committee. Notification of acceptance or rejection of submitted abstracts will be sent to the corresponding authors via e-mail until 20 September 2024.

The author of the accepted abstracts will get the code to register to the symposium free of charge and certificates of participation.

Hyperlinks, animated images, animations and videos are not permitted.
QR codes may be included.

Oral Poster Pitch Competition

Based on all submitted abstracts, the Poster Review Committee will select finalists for oral presentation during the dedicated Session on Saturday, 16 November 2024. The decision is conclusive and not subject to discussion. The presentation must be in English (both speech and slides).

Finalists for oral presentations will receive notification by 25 October 2024. The Poster Review committee will select the top three pitches. All oral presenters and the recipients of the top three pitches will be awarded certificates and a free gala dinner (Loy Krathong Dinner Curise) from the Oral Reconstruction Foundation during the event.

Additionally, the first prize winner will receive free registration for the next Oral Reconstruction Global Symposium in Miami in April 2026.
